sep, 4 shanghai district water authorities sign framework agreement on sludge blending combustion disposal service cooperation
on july 22, 2019, sep and shanghai jiading, songjiang, qingpu and fengxian district water authorities signed a framework agreement on sludge blending combustion disposal service cooperation at the company headquarters. shanghai municipal development and reform commission (drc) deputy director zhou qiang, shanghai water authority deputy director general zhou jianguo and sep chairman wang yundan attended the signing ceremony and made remarks.
zhou qiang expressed that sludge treatment is an important segment in the urban water environmental management. over the years, sep has been conducting intensive research and practices in the blending combustion of sludge at the power plant. in the next stage, related companies should provide coordination and support, in order to ensure smooth implementation of blending combustion work.
zhou jianguo indicated that the signing of the agreement marks a solid step in the resource utilization of municipal sludge in shanghai, which will also push forward the ultimate goal of realizing "zero sludge landfill".
wang yundan stated that sep, as a century-old chinese electricity enterprise, always adheres to the path of scientific and technological innovation. the signing of the sludge blending combustion project marks a big step in the company's innovation in assisting the environmental governance of shanghai. the company will continue to follow the guidance of shanghai drc and shanghai water authority, conduct experiment and trial program at caojing power plant, build a global model project for blending combustion of sludge, and make due contributions to the construction of beautiful shanghai with clear water and fresh air.
sep president wang huaiming presided over the signing ceremony, and deputy president xia meixing signed the agreement with the leaders of the four district water authorities on behalf of the company.
the related personnel of sep general office, planning and development department, finance department, capital markets and investor relations department, policy and legal affairs department, safety, quality and environmental protection department, corporate culture department and caojing power plant participated in the signing ceremony.
