hu jiandong meets shell hydrogen asia pacific head chen zhaonan
on april 22, 2021, sep party secretary and chairman hu jiandong met with chen zhaonan, head of asia pacific of shell hydrogen, and his delegation at the company headquarters. gao dingyun, chairman of shanghai sunwise new energy systems co., ltd., was also present at the meeting.
hu welcomed the visit of chen and his delegation, introduced the clean energy development of sep, and focused on the company's hydrogen energy industry planning and layout in shanghai and the yangtze river economic belt. he hoped that both sides could give full play to their respective resource advantages, intensify innovation in the business model and technology, jointly promote the integrated development of hydrogen energy production, storage, transportation and utilization, and vigorously develop the application of hydrogen energy in the clean alternative of energy consumption side, so as to achieve common development.
chen expressed thanks to the hospitality of sep, and introduced the existing oil and gas business of shell in china and its energy transformation strategy for the low-carbon future, highlighting the company's strategy and practice of developing hydrogen energy. he said that shanghai is one of the key areas for shell's hydrogen energy business expansion, and hoped to deepen cooperation with sep, jointly promote the implementation of hydrogen energy planning and key projects in shanghai and the yangtze river delta region, and facilitate the rapid development of hydrogen energy industry.
