from august 5-6, 2021, emba, sep's turkish subsidiary, attended the "economic, trade and cultural development forum on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between china and turkey" in ankara, turkey, and participated in the exhibition arrangement. the forum was sponsored by the general chamber of commerce of chinese enterprises in turkey. yavuz selim kiran, deputy foreign minister of turkey, 脰zg眉l 脰zkan yabuz, deputy minister of culture and tourism of turkey, liu shaobin, chinese ambassador to turkey, and liu yuhua, commercial counselor of chinese embassy in turkey, attended the opening ceremony, and ren hongbin, assistant minister of commerce of china, participated in the ceremony via video link. the forum attracted nearly 60 chinese and turkey enterprises to join in the exhibition online and offline.
at the booth of emba, the company's deputy gm jiang sheng introduced the construction progress of sep hunutlu thermal power plant to ambassador liu shaobin, counselor liu yuhua and senior officials of turkish government. ambassador liu said that hunutlu thermal power plant, invested by sep in turkey, is the largest investment by a chinese company in turkey since the establishment of diplomatic ties between china and turkey, which is of great significance. he hoped the project to overcome the impact of the covid-19 pandemic and achieve commercial operation as scheduled. at the same time, ambassador liu expressed his willingness to visit the project site after the pandemic is brought under control.
the two-day forum included several parallel sessions such as mining infrastructure, technology and information, logistics and food, tourism and health, where the participants held discussions and exchanges.
