recently, asia pacific quality organization (apqo) announced the winners of the global performance excellence awards (gpea) 2019, among which sep became one of the gpea 2019 鈥?world class winners, representing the highest level of prizes. this year, a total of 23 organizations from nine countries were honored the awards, among them 11 organizations became world class winners, of which sep is the only energy enterprise. this also indicated that sep was recognized for its excellence in quality sector after winning the "shanghai municipal quality gold award in 2018".
apqo, which established gpea, was founded in 1985, and is a non-political and non-profit international organization whose membership include national quality organizations, corporate members and individual members from 52 countries such as china, the us and mexico. as one of the international certifications for corporate performance excellence, gpea is the only international management award that recognizes organizations for pursuing excellence across countries and regions at present. the award is announced annually with three categories of world class, best in class and quest for excellence, of which world class is the highest level.
